L&H Race Cars has become a premier, Promod race car fabricator and builder. Our services include complete chassis setup, expert welding services, custom design and build of headers and our trackside services. We have over 38 years experience in drag racing.

Distinguished Racing History L & H Race Cars owners, Bobby Leonard and his son-in-law Robert Hayes, started construction on their new L&H Race Cars shop beside Bobby Leonard's Paint & Body in Oxford, N. C. in the fall of 2004. Both Bobby and Robert have established successful careers as race car drivers. Bobby's "Mean Mouse" Chevy Nova and Robert's "Trouble Maker" '57 Chevy were regular runners in regional Quick 8 and Top Sportsman's competitions. Robert Hayes' "Trouble Maker"	Making an Investment in the Future We became frame and chassis builders with a vision to create a state-of-the-art facility that would produce complete rolling doorslammers for Top Sportsman, Super Comp and Bracket competitions. Once complete, this facility allowed us to offer a variety of services, such as, custom headders, welding jobs, frame building, precise fabrications and much more. The L & H Race Cars facility, located in Oxford, North Carolina, is already licensed for legal I.H.R.A. and N.H.R.A. approved chassis building. The shop is fitted with all the tools and equipment to produce anything from simple customer modifications to complete turn-key solutions. The expanded facility became operational in mid-October 2004.

L & H Race Cars Today and Beyond... Early last year, we made a decision and a commitment to our clients (and ourselves) which has revolutionized the level of service and changed our approach to the drag racing business. While we will continue to provide superior, quality upgrades for our valued customers; however, going forward, we seek to focus our expertise on producing complete custom-built hotrods for clients who want top performance and are committed to competing at a higher level. Early this year, we completed building a shining example of the caliber of hotrods that will produce top performance. We designed, built and tested this '57 Chevy. As you can see from the picture on the right, it is a monster machine!
